Use text or an image as a watermark for your TIFF and save the watermarked copy in JP2 format.

Watermark TIFF files with custom text or an image, specify color and opacity level, and save the result as a JP2 on your device.

Watermark Maker is an app to Watermark TIFF files and all their layers and saves the result in the JP2 format.

JP2 (JPEG 2000) is a compressed bitmap image saved in the JPEG 2000 Core Coding format. It supports any color bit depth and image metadata. The main improvement is incorporating a wavelet compression algorithm instead of the DCT (Digital Cosine Transform) compression, so it may be compressed with lossy or lossless compression. JP2 format is often used for saving digital photos and medical images, such as CT and MRI scans.

Sharing the original files unprotected is not the best thing to do. Watermarks are ancient and have stood the test of time in the technology of protection and promotion. Everything around is covered with watermarks. Now they are digitized, making them more fragile than mere letters in ancient images. However, if you pay attention to your copyright before sharing or transferring content, the risk of theft is less.

Advantages of using watermarks:

  • Protects your intellectual property from piracy and pilfering.
  • Gives extra promotion by including your company logo, name or contact information.
  • Monitoring duplicates. Keep track of copies by adding the names of the people you send documents or photos to.

Disadvantages of using watermarks:

  • Impact the look and feel. Watermarks detract from content and ruin aesthetics and details.
  • An insufficient level of legal protection. The presence of a watermark on the photo itself cannot be used to prove copyright.

All you need to do is:

  • Upload your TIFF file
  • Specify the watermark type (text or image)
  • Add text, select text and background colors, and set opacity with the Opacity slider;
  • Add an image as a watermark and set opacity with the opacity slider
  • Click the Watermark button to add a watermark and download the watermarked JP2 file. There are no strict rules for a watermark design. You can create your own recognizable watermarks from images and text.

Our app is a virtual instrument powered by Aspose.PSD. All files are processed with Aspose APIs, which are used by many Fortune 100 companies across 114 countries. Our API in .NET or JAVA is useful for developers and comes with great documentation, clear code samples, and an all-dev support team.

  1. Rasterization is conversion text or vector layers to raster images. Vector files do not support some Photoshop features. Some Photoshop tools and effects work only with raster graphics. If you need to apply these to vector graphics, they must be rasterized first.

TIFF - Tagged Image File Format

TIFF or TIF, Tagged Image File Format, represents raster images that are meant for usage on a variety of devices that comply with this file format standard. It is capable of describing bilevel, grayscale, palette-color and full-color image data in several color spaces. It supports lossy as well as lossless compression schemes to choose between space and time for applications using the format.

JPEG 2000 (JP2) is an image coding system and state-of-the-art image compression standard. Designed, using wavelet technology JPEG 2000 can code lossless content in any quality at once. Moreover, without any substantial penalty in coding efficiency, JPEG 2000 have the capability to access and decode the same content efficaciously into a variety of other resolutions and qualities. The code streams in JPEG 2000 is significantly scalable having regions of interest that provide the facility for spatial random access. Possessing Up to 16384 diverse components with the dimensions in terapixels, and precision that can be high as 38 bits/sample.
