All you need is a GIS file in any of the supported formats:
- kml, kmz
- geojson, json, topojson
- shp, dbf, shx, cpg, prj, qix
- mif, mid
- tab, map, id, dat
- gdb, gdbtable, gbdtablx
- tif, geotiff
Notice to KMZ: Data in KMZ format is stored in WGS 84 SRS. Please only use WGS 84 output SRS if you are converting to KMZ format.
A KMZ file is a KML file zipped with a ZIP compressor. The KMZ can be stored on disk or sent by mail as a single file.
PNG, Portable Network Graphics, refers to a type of raster image file format that use loseless compression. This file format was created as a replacement of Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) and has no copyright limitations.
