PST to DOC

Convert a PST file to editable Word 97‑2003 documents, producing one .doc for each email while keeping the original folder structure inside a ZIP archive. Each document includes the email’s headers and embeds any inline images, so the message content is ready for full editing in Word or compatible editors. The tool handles standard Unicode PST files and preserves body formatting, but it does not extract separate attachments—those remain outside the generated .doc files.

One Email → One Editable .DOC

Every email stored inside the uploaded PST is transformed into its own Microsoft Word 97‑2003 (.doc) file. The converter retains the original Outlook folder hierarchy by placing each generated document in matching subfolders within a single ZIP archive, so the overall structure mirrors the source mailbox for easy navigation after download.

The resulting .doc files contain fully editable content, allowing you to change text, adjust formatting, and rearrange layout directly in Word or any compatible editor. All typical Word features such as paragraph breaks, indentation, and styles are preserved, making post‑conversion editing seamless.

Headers and Body Formatting Preserved

At the top of each document, a metadata block lists the standard email headers – From, To, Cc, Subject, and Date – exactly as they appear in the original message. This header section is formatted as plain text within the Word file, giving you quick access to the key routing information without opening the original PST.

Beyond the headers, the converter carries over the visual structure of the email body. Paragraph styles, headings, bulleted or numbered lists, bold and italic markup, tables, and colour attributes are faithfully reproduced in the .doc, so the email looks the same as it did in Outlook while remaining fully editable.

Inline Images and Clickable Links

Images that were embedded directly in the email are extracted and inserted into the corresponding position inside the Word document. This ensures the visual context remains intact and you can resize, move, or replace those images using standard Word tools without needing external files.

Web URLs present in the message are downloaded where possible and the linked graphics are embedded, while the original hyperlinks stay active and clickable inside the .doc. If an image cannot be retrieved, the conversion still proceeds, leaving the link text intact so the document remains useful.

Unicode Text and Script Support

The conversion engine processes standard Unicode PST files, so it correctly renders text written in Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic, and many other scripts. The server’s bundled fonts are applied where available, delivering clear, readable characters for most languages.

When a specific glyph is missing from the bundled font collection, the converter automatically substitutes a compatible font that contains the required characters. This fallback ensures that the text remains legible and editable, even if the exact original typeface cannot be reproduced.

Scope of Extraction

The tool focuses on extracting the email body and any inline images, packaging them into the editable .doc files. Regular file attachments are intentionally excluded, keeping the output lightweight and centered on content that can be directly edited inside Word.

Bcc recipient information is omitted from the generated documents, which aligns with typical privacy expectations while still preserving all visible parts of the conversation. This approach provides a clean, editable record of the email without exposing hidden recipient data.

Maximum file size and number of PSTs per batch depend on the user’s account tier; signing in expands these limits beyond the anonymous allowance.
