Map of Romania contains actual borders of Romania and its regions on the World Map, main cities with names in English and local language, and transport net all over it.

Our map has a tiled structure; tiles are loaded when interacting with the map.

Our app is created for:
  • Take a look at Romania country in 2D projection;
  • Interact with the map and its layers;
  • Share any place in Romania with a link;
  • Get accurate coordinates of any place in Romania for travel, education, or just fun;
  • Build the map of Romania into your web resource with HTML code.

The given link works in the Standard map layer, but you can switch it to the Transport one on your own to see the place closely, with railways and highways in two languages (local and English).

Explore the Earth with our browser-based World Map app which is a 2D projection of the Earth containing continents, oceans, large islands, and archipelagos, as well as the country’s locations and major cities with their names in local languages, border lines, and major transport nets.

How to use the map of Romania?

  • Interact with the map by zooming and dragging with your mouse or by the ± buttons to the right of the map window;
  • Below there is a Share map area button to create a link or HTML code with your current location or any other place you want to share with somebody or build into your web resource;
  • Pick the one you want to use and click on it;
  • The link is copied to the clipboard and ready for use;
  • Below there is the Show my position button to find your location on the map and give you the lat and long coordinates of your place;
  • Switch the Map Layer to change a set of the map tiles, where:
    • Standard is our usual set of map tiles with land, forests, oceans, countries, states, and regions with borderlines in the local language, capitals and big cities with the main highways;
    • Transport is a set of map tiles that is the same as Standard but with a closer view with railways but no forests on it.

  1. ❓ Does the link contain the coordinates?

    The name of the link contains the coordinates of the place.

  3. ❓ What is the difference between Standard and Transport map layers and which one do I get with the link?

    Standard is our usual set of map tiles with land, islands, archipelagos, forests, oceans, countries with borderlines and major cities with the main highways.
    The Transport set of the map tiles is the same as Standard but with a closer view, railways, using 2 languages (local and English), and no forests.
    The Standard one is given with the link.

  4. ❗ How accurate is the 2D world map?

    World maps are a special category of maps due to the problem with projecting the geoid onto a plane with minimal losses, since the Earth is not a flat object.
