    FAQ

How to get the best result?

Good image quality is the cornerstone for accurate font detection. We recommend using a scanner or high-resolution camera to capture the image.

    I don’t have a scanner. Can I use a smartphone camera?

Yes, the algorithm works equally well with scans and photographs. Just follow the basic rules to get a high-quality image: hold your smartphone parallel to the paper; make sure the paper is well lit; the text should cover the entire area of the photo.

The application incorrectly detects the font

Some fonts have very similar glyphs or even use the same glyphs for some letters. Try using an image with a different text fragment to validate the result.

Can I use the app from mobile devices?

Yes, the application works in all popular web browsers on any device and platform, including smartphones.

I store images on a website. Do I need to download them?

No, simply provide a link to the image on URL tab. The application will do the rest.

    Is this app free?

Yes, the application provides full access to font detection capabilities of Aspose.OCR for free, for as long as you need.
