Convert a PST file to MSG extracts every email as a native Outlook .msg file and packs them into a single ZIP archive. Each .msg keeps the original formatting, attachments and the full folder hierarchy, so messages open in Outlook exactly as they appeared. Only standard Unicode PST files are supported; Bcc recipients are omitted, but all other headers, body content and inline images are preserved.
Each email stored inside the uploaded PST file is extracted as a separate .msg file that behaves exactly like a message created directly in Outlook. The resulting .msg can be opened by double‑clicking in Outlook without any additional import steps, preserving the original user experience and allowing immediate reading, replying, or forwarding just as if the message had never left Outlook.
All core header information—sender address, visible recipients in From, To, and Cc, subject line, and original timestamps—is retained in each exported .msg, so chronology and correspondence details remain intact.
The message body is saved with the exact formatting it had in the source PST, whether plain‑text or richly formatted HTML, so fonts, colors, lists, tables, and embedded styles appear unchanged, and any inline images are embedded and displayed correctly when the .msg is opened in Outlook.
Every attachment that was part of the original email—document, PDF, image, or any other file type—is preserved and attached to the corresponding .msg file, allowing users to open, download, or forward these attachments directly without data loss.
The converter recreates the complete folder tree from the source PST inside the resulting ZIP archive. Standard folders such as Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, as well as any custom folders and nested subfolders the user created in Outlook are mirrored, so after extraction messages stay organized exactly as they were, enabling seamless navigation and bulk operations that rely on the original layout.
The tool processes standard Unicode Outlook PST files, which are the default format used by recent versions of Outlook for storing mail data. As long as the PST conforms to this Unicode specification, the converter will generate a ZIP containing .msg files for every message it contains; non‑Unicode or corrupted PSTs fall outside the supported scope.
While all visible header fields are preserved, the Bcc (blind carbon copy) recipient list is intentionally omitted from the exported .msg files to respect privacy expectations. This behavior applies to typical PSTs where Bcc information is not stored in a way that can be reconstructed; all other header data remains fully intact, allowing users to retain complete visible communication details.
