PST to EPUB

Convert PST to EPUB extracts each email from an uploaded Outlook .pst and creates a separate reflowable .epub for every message. The converter keeps the original mailbox folder hierarchy inside a single .zip archive, letting you browse the e‑books exactly as they were organized in Outlook. Full message headers and any inline images are included, while other attachments remain outside the e‑books.

One e‑book per message with folder hierarchy

The converter opens the uploaded Outlook .pst file in read‑only mode, walks every mailbox folder—Inbox, Sent Items, custom folders and any nested subfolders—and creates an individual reflowable .epub for each message it contains. Each e‑book is generated directly from the message content, preserving the original order and ensuring that no data from the source file is altered during processing.

All generated e‑books are placed inside a single .zip archive that mirrors the original folder tree: a top‑level directory named after the .pst, subdirectories for each mailbox folder, and numbered .epub files (message_1.epub, message_2.epub, …) within those folders. This structure lets users browse the archive exactly as their Outlook mailbox was organized, with clear folder paths and consistently named files for easy navigation.

Message metadata preserved

For each e‑book the converter extracts the standard mail fields—From, To, Cc, Subject and Date—and renders them as a header block at the top of the book, so readers see the original sender, recipients and timestamp before the body. The header block follows the same visual style as typical email clients, making it instantly recognizable and useful for reference.

The body’s HTML structure is retained, including paragraphs, headings, bulleted and numbered lists, tables, bold/italic/underline styling, font family, size and colour. Plain‑text messages are converted into clean flowing text while preserving line breaks. This faithful rendering ensures that the visual layout and emphasis of the original email are maintained inside the reflowable e‑book.

Reflowable reading experience

Because EPUB is a reflowable format, the text of each converted message adapts to the screen size and the reader’s chosen font and line spacing, whether the e‑book is opened in Apple Books, Calibre or any standard e‑reader. Users can increase or decrease font size, switch typefaces and adjust margins, and the content will reflow smoothly without losing any information.

The content remains selectable and searchable, allowing users to highlight, copy or search within the message body on any device. This makes it practical for research, citation or quick reference, turning a static email archive into an interactive, mobile‑friendly collection of readable documents.

Inline images and hyperlinks

Images embedded directly in the message body are fetched and embedded in the e‑book, ensuring each .epub is self‑contained and viewable offline. The converter encodes these graphics in a format supported by most e‑readers, so the visual context of the original email is preserved without requiring an internet connection.

Hyperlinks present in the original message are retained as active links in the e‑book, enabling readers to tap or click them from within the e‑reader. Links open in the device’s default browser, providing seamless navigation from the archived email to external resources while keeping the e‑book itself lightweight.

Limits and scope

File size handled per upload

Supports PST files up to the size allowed by the user’s account tier; higher‑tier accounts accept larger archives.

Server‑side retention

Uploaded PST files and the resulting ZIP archive are automatically removed 24 hours after conversion completes.
