Convert an MHTML email to an Outlook .msg file, preserving the original From, To, Cc, Subject, Date, body and any attachments. The tool processes a single MHTML file per submission and returns exactly one .msg file. The converter handles individual email conversions; batch or mixed‑format archives require separate runs.

Headers transferred accurately

The converter extracts the envelope fields stored in the MHTML file—From, To, Cc, Subject and Date—and writes them to the corresponding properties of the Outlook .msg file. When opened in Outlook, the header block appears exactly as in the original email, preserving sender, recipients, subject line and timestamp without loss of fidelity.

Rich HTML body and inline assets

All HTML markup that composes the email body is kept, including styling, tables, Unicode characters and embedded CSS. Inline images become Outlook‑compatible embedded objects and hyperlinks stay active, so the visual layout and interactive elements are reproduced faithfully inside the .msg file.

Attachments preserved

Any files attached to the source MHTML are detected and added to the output .msg as separate attachment items. Original filenames and binary content are retained, allowing recipients to open or save the attachments exactly as they were sent, with no need for manual renaming or extraction.

Limits and scope

Single‑file conversion
The converter processes one MHTML file per submission; converting multiple emails requires separate uploads.
File retention
Uploaded source files and the generated MSG are kept on the server for 24 hours before automatic removal.

FAQ

Do the From, To, Cc, Subject and Date fields stay the same in the .msg file?

Yes. The converter copies those envelope fields from the MHTML file to the corresponding properties of the Outlook .msg file, preserving them exactly.

Are inline images and hyperlinks kept when the HTML body is converted?

Yes. Inline images become Outlook‑compatible embedded objects and hyperlinks remain active in the resulting .msg file.

How are attachments from the original MHTML handled?

All attached files are detected and added to the .msg as separate attachment items, keeping their original filenames and binary content.

What are the file‑size and batch limits for converting MHTML to MSG?

Anonymous users can convert files up to the free‑tier size limit; signing in with a free Aspose account raises the per‑file size cap, and paid subscription tiers increase the limit further. Each request still handles exactly one file.

How long are uploaded files and converted MSG files kept on the server?

All uploaded source files and the resulting MSG files are automatically deleted from the server 24 hours after the conversion completes.
