Convert an MBOX archive to SVG by extracting each email and rendering it as an individual scalable vector graphic. The output keeps the full layout—including headers, formatted body and inline images—so it stays crisp at any zoom level. One SVG is produced per message and all files are returned in a ZIP; if an email spans multiple pages, only the first page appears in the SVG.

Full email header block rendered

Each SVG includes the standard header fields that appear in the original message – From, To, Cc, Subject and Date – positioned at the top of the image so the context of the email is preserved.

Inline and remote images embedded

Images that are part of the email’s multipart body (cid: references) are drawn directly into the SVG at their original locations, making the output self‑contained.

Images referenced by HTTP/HTTPS URLs are fetched during rendering and placed in the SVG; typical marketing or newsletter messages with a few remote images are fully captured.

Exact visual layout as scalable vector graphics

The body of each message – whether plain‑text or HTML – is laid out with its original formatting, including paragraphs, headings, lists, bold/italic/underline styling, font families, colours and tables, and then rendered as a single‑page SVG that remains sharp at any zoom level.

Limits and scope

File size and batch limits
Handles .mbox files up to the per‑tier size cap and processes batches up to the tier‑defined file count, ensuring conversion fits within the chosen account level.
Retention period
Uploaded archives and generated SVG zip files are stored for 24 hours after conversion, providing ample time to download while keeping data temporary.

FAQ

Are CID inline images embedded in the generated SVG?

Yes, images that are part of the email’s multipart body and referenced with a cid: URL are drawn directly into the SVG at their original locations, making the output self‑contained.

Will images referenced by external HTTP/HTTPS URLs appear in the SVG?

During rendering the converter fetches external images referenced by HTTP or HTTPS URLs and places them in the SVG, so typical newsletters with a few remote images are fully captured.

What happens to binary attachments such as PDFs or Office files?

Binary attachments are not rendered in the SVG; they are omitted from the image and should be saved from the original MBOX message if needed.

What are the file-size and batch limits for converting MBOX to SVG?

Limits depend on your account tier. Anonymous users have the smallest per‑file size and batch count caps; a free Aspose account raises both, and higher‑tier plans increase them further. See the pricing page for exact numbers.

How long are uploaded MBOX files and generated SVG results retained on the server?

Uploaded .mbox archives and the generated SVG zip files are automatically removed from the server 24 hours after the conversion finishes.
