OXPS or OpenXPS or Open XML Paper Specification is an XPS that was raised in 2009 to international standard (ECMA-388) and was renamed to separate the previous specification that is not a standard from the new specification that is a standard. As XPS, OXPS format is similar to PDF format. But in comparison to PDF it is based on HTML and not on PostScript language. The file of this layout page format includes a markup of the document's structure along with the information on how the document would look like. The file also has instructions on how to print and render the document.
