MSG to DOCX

Convert an Outlook .msg email to a Word .docx file in a single step. The tool embeds all inline images directly into the document and adds the email’s From, To, Cc, Subject, and Date as a metadata block at the top. It handles one message per submission; for batch processing you would need to run separate conversions.

Email headers become a Word metadata block

The converter extracts the From, To, Cc, Subject and Date fields from the Outlook .msg file and creates a formatted metadata block at the very start of the generated .docx. This block shows the original routing information immediately when the Word file is opened, and it can be edited or copied like any other text.

Inline images are rendered directly in the document

All images embedded in the original message—whether inline pictures or attachment thumbnails—are extracted and inserted into the Word document at the same locations they appeared in the email. They become native Word image objects, so the visual layout is preserved and the file can be shared or printed without missing graphics.

Preserved text layout and selectable content

The email body is converted into native Word paragraphs, keeping line breaks, indentation, bullet and numbered lists, and basic styling such as bold, italic and underline. The result is true Word text, fully selectable, searchable and copy‑able, allowing easy extraction or repurposing of the content.

Support for common character sets and fonts

Characters from many scripts—including Latin, Cyrillic and Greek—are retained. The tool maps original font attributes to the closest matching fonts available in Word, preserving size, color and emphasis. If an exact match isn’t present, a comparable fallback font is used, ensuring readability.
