  1. DGN to BMP
    (Bitmap Picture)
    The raster graphics file format is used as a storage for two-dimensional digital images both monochrome and color, in various color depths, with and without data compression, alpha channels, and color profiles.
  2. DGN to GIF
    (Graphics Interchange Format)
    The raster graphic file format. GIF is the most compact format without loss of quality, but it’s limited to a color palette of 256 colors. In 1989, the format was modified to GIF89a which supports transparency and animation. GIF uses LZW compression, which allows use GIF with a lot of uniform fills (logos, inscriptions, diagrams).

    (Joint Photographic Expert Group Image File)
    The raster image format uses a lossy compression process. The output image is a trade-off between storage size and image quality. The image quality degrades less when the compression is 10:1. The higher the compression, the more the image quality is degraded.

    A compressed bitmap image saved in the JPEG 2000 Core Coding format. It supports any color bit depth and image metadata. The main improvement is incorporating a wavelet compression algorithm instead of the DCT (Digital Cosine Transform) compression, so it may be compressed with lossy or lossless compression. JP2 format is often used for saving digital photos and medical images, such as CT and MRI scans.

    (Portable Network Graphics)
    The raster image format uses a 2-stage compression process. PNG is a lossless, portable, well-compressed storage of raster formats. PNG can handle 16 million colors and supports indexed color, grayscale, and true-color images. Sample depths range from 1 to 16 bits.
  7. DGN to TIFF
    (Tagged Image File Format)
    The raster graphic file format supports both lossy and lossless compressions. TIFF is oversized (up to 4 GB), high-quality, color depth format. TIFF format loads slowly due to its heavy weight, layering, and compression algorithms.
  8. DGN to PSD
    (Photoshop Document)
    A native format of Adobe Photoshop for graphic design and development. PSD format supports monochrome pictures, multi-channel models, color systems (RGB, CMYK), and grayscale.
    The PSD format saves layers and layer folders, maintains transparency and translucency, saves vector graphics and Photoshop layers, the image is compressed without loss of quality (RLE compression).
    The PSD file format has a maximum height and width for images of 30,000 pixels and a size limit of 2GB.
  9. DGN to DICOM
    (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine)
    The standard for the communication and management of medical images and related data. DICOM is used for storing and transmitting medical images to integrate medical devices such as scanners, servers, workstations, printers, network hardware, picture archiving, and communication systems (PACS) by different manufacturers. It has been widely adopted by hospitals and has started advancing into dentists and doctors offices.
  10. DGN to WEBP
    (Pronounced WEPPY)
    A raster web image file format was developed by Google to replace JPEG, PNG, and GIF file formats. WEBP provides higher compression to minimize file size. It supports lossy and lossless compression, animation, and alpha transparency. The maximum size of a WebP image is 16383 × 16383 pixels or about 268 MP.
  11. DGN to PDF
    (Portable Document Format)
    The universal file format to preserve the fonts, images, and layout of the original document on many platforms or any apps they were created. PDF is compatible with all major platforms, compact and supports digital signature technology. PDF was first standardized as ISO 32000 in 2008.

    (Scalable Vector Graphics)
    An XML-based vector image format for defining 2D graphics with supports for interactivity and animation.

    (Windows Metafile Format)
    A vector graphic saved in the proprietary format of Microsoft. It contains a series of metafile records with store drawing operations, including commands for drawing lines, circles, and rectangles that make up the graphic. WMF files support bitmap drawing operations as well.
    Primarily used as a storage for vector graphics and to support raster image data.
    Scaling and getting higher defining outputs is possible by using 16-bit image data for modifying graphics in an image editor and/or printing high-quality images.
  14. DGN to EMF
    (Enhanced Windows Metafile)
    A vector graphic is saved in an improved version of the WMF format. EMF format stores 32-bit RGB image data in a series of records which displays during processed or printers.
    EMF is a vector format with the support of bitmap data.
    Scaling and getting higher defining outputs is useful for modifying graphics in an image editor and/or printing high-quality images.
  15. DGN to DXF
    (Drawing Interchange Format) or (Drawing Exchange Format)
    Vector file format for enabling data interoperability between AutoCAD and other programs. DXF is an open-source file format that lets you avoid Autodesk programs. DXF files stay accurate before and after the conversion.

DWFX is the compressed format for making transmission over the internet suitable. A single DWFX file is usually bigger than the corresponding DWF file and can contain one or more drawings.

    (Design Web Format)
    Secure file format for the efficient distribution and communication of rich design data to view, review, or print design files. A DWF file can describe design data containing any combination of text, graphics, and images in a device-independent and resolution-independent format. DWF files are highly compressed, smaller, and faster to transmit. You can limit the specific design data and plot styles, and publish multi-sheet drawing sets from multiple AutoCAD drawings in a single DWF file. DWF allows designers, engineers, and project managers communicate design information and content design without needing them to know AutoCAD or other design software.
  18. DGN to OBJ
    (Object file)
    An OBJ file is a standard 3D image format that can be exported and opened by various 3D image editing programs. It contains a 3D object, including 3D coordinates, texture maps, polygonal faces, and other object information.
    It is a universal 3D model format since 3D image editing apps widely support it. OBJ is a text-based and straightforward but simple format structure that also leads to big OBJ file sizes to store large and complex 3D objects.
